AN ‌UPDATE ‌ON ‌A TRIBUTE TO PANIC! AT THE DISCO

We are formally announcing that our efforts on an international tour and Live in Denver 2027 production will not be proceeding.

Our team of 13 people had been working behind the scenes for months on two separate productions that would celebrate the music and history of Panic! At The Disco after having received the logistical and financial support from a major promoter.

The first, Live in Denver 2027, would have been a one-off production to recreate the band's infamous 2006 concert at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado. Our aim was to recreate the concert beat-for-beat, returning to the same venue with the same setlist, wardrobe, stage design, arrangements and theatrics. We had also confirmed the return of the original dancers from the 2006 tour who would have returned to don their iconic outfits more than two decades later.

The second, the House of Memories Tour, would have been a tour to celebrate the band's career, featuring their biggest hits and most memorable shows. We had planned to kick off with a limited run of House of Blues venues in America before heading over to Europe before considering further dates in response to the jaw-dropping interest we had received from fans globally.

We were excited for what these shows would become, and we are truly disheartened that we won't be able to share them with you. We think we should talk about what led to this decision.

Concerning Warwick and the future of the project:

Warwick joined our production initially through his work as a performer and concert producer in Australia. He then joined as an actor and producer, playing a critical role in the development of both shows and building the professional relationships required to bring them to fruition.

We acknowledge the seriousness of concerns raised with Warwick and those involved. Those who have spoken about their experiences deserve to be believed and treated with respect. Our own experiences with Warwick do not invalidate theirs, and our comments should not be taken as a dismissal of their concerns or as discouraging anyone from speaking up.

Through working with Warwick, including but not limited to this coming to light, we have seen reflection, regret and compassion as well as an intense battle to better himself. We believe Warwick has the ability to take the responsibility, learn, grow and continue to better himself. This belief does not place him beyond the criticism or negate the need for accountability. We support him in having the opportunity to prove his growth over time.

Warwick has voluntarily left his role in the productions. We support that decision as the appropriate action in the situation. Warwick's departure, nor our support, should not be taken as us or him asking those involved to forgive, reconcile or agree with our stance.

The productions were contractually set up to require Warwick's participation as performer and producer. Without him, we lack the contractual power or practical ability to continue, transfer or restructure the productions without him. Replacement or continuing with the remaining team is not a viable alternative. With Warwick stepping down, the remaining cast have been released to pursue other opportunities, and there are no intentions to continue the production at this time. Additionally, we believe that everybody involved has a right to their privacy without any harassment going forward.

Concerning the use of generative AI:

We are a group of creatives, and we admire the performers, musicians, designers and editors whose work went into these projects. We do not want generative AI to replace their efforts.

Concerns were raised by fans regarding a promotional video, citing results from an AI detector. We initially thought this was a false positive. However, upon further investigation of the production process, we concluded that an image in that video had been altered using the ChatGPT AI during our graphics production process. Our response was incorrect. Once this was confirmed, we removed the video from our social media channels and implemented further checks for all promotional material going forward.

Following our review, we identified no other cases of the use of generative AI in the remaining promotional material, including our logos, video, vocals or instrumentals. We understand why the confirmed incident raised questions about our other work, and these concerns were taken seriously.

Some clips from our social media livestreams had been shared as evidence of AI-generated vocals or of our use of original Panic! At The Disco recordings. The audio played during those streams were recordings from soundchecks, rehearsals and previous shows, of our cast performing live in the room at the time those recordings were made. These were played back during the livestream, rather than performed live.

We shared those recordings to demonstrate the accuracy and development of our cast's vocals and musicianship, with work for these productions since July 2026 and before our production in early 2025. The playback was with the distortion bar set to its highest setting for the sake of mystery surrounding the forthcoming production. We acknowledge that this presentation could be misleading as to the source and timing of the recordings, and we should have provided that context at the time.

We hold multitrack recordings taken directly from the mixing board, as well as video of the performances. Most criticism centered around snippets employing vocal isolation, vocal delivery and ad-libs, as well as spectrograph of clips taken from the livestreams. Vocal isolation tools and low quality livestream compression can introduce a lot of artefacts, and these features do not mean a recording was AI-generated or taken from the original band. To be extremely clear, the vocals and instrumental performance was performed by our cast, not generated by AI or taken from original Panic! At The Disco recordings / live performances.

Concerning the website and expressions of interest:

We also want to assure everyone who submitted their email address and location to our website that the information will not be shared or used for any other reason, and will be made unavailable. The information was collected through Squarespace's native form platform, the same one used by the official Panic! At The Disco website. The form was to gauge geographical interest in potential shows, not to track individuals or collect financial information.

No tickets were ever put into rotation, no payments requested or received, and no financial transactions were made with supporters of the show. We understand that speculation and misinformation had led to the project being characterised as a scam, and that many felt the need to address these concerns directly. At no point were we blindly seeking money from fans or attempting to deceive supporters of the project.

Above all, we want to thank all of the people who believed in this project.

What started as an idea has become something much bigger than we could have imagined, thanks to the insane level of enthusiasm from fans around the world. The excitement surrounding these shows, in particular the prospect of returning to Denver after twenty years, was something we will always be grateful for.

While these shows will not be happening, the care, creativity and enthusiasm that went into putting them together was all real.

We are sorry that we won't be able to bring you the shows we had planned, and are sincerely grateful for the support of you throughout the process.
